When you visit our Site, we collect certain technical and routing information about your computer to facilitate your use of the Site. Buy Michigan Now may ask users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Creating an account with Buy Michigan Now may result in email notification of changes and updates at Buy Michigan Now. Recipients may opt out of future correspondence at any time. Note that unsubscribing from our mailing list will not stop e-mail that responds to your specific request.
If you sign the Pledge promoting the economy in Michigan, you will be asked to provide your name, city and state information. In addition, you may provide your address, phone, email and organization and let us know where you heard about Buy Michigan Now upon your will. If you wish to be added to our mailing list or us to contact you, you may announce this when submitting the Pledge.
Information collected via Pledge forms will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the Buy Michigan Now campaign. The information will not be distributed to any outside sources. Taking the Pledge will not result in further contact from Buy Michigan Now unless a person requests to be contacted, added to an email distribution or mailing list, or unless they have made a request for additional information.
We may host message boards and forums at our Site where we invite visitors to provide comments, feedback and experiences. In order to use our message boards, we ask visitors to register and to provide to us their email address, which we will store. We do not ask for personal information (such as date of birth, physical address, telephone number). You do not have to provide your real name. However, a working, verifiable email address is required for registering. We will not divulge your email address to any outside sources nor will we add you to an email distribution or mailing list, unless you have made a request for additional information.
