(Livonia, July 19, 2012) – Buy Michigan Now has announced the schedule of events for the 4th Annual Buy Michigan Now Festival being held in Downtown Northville the weekend of August 3-5. The family-friendly Buy Michigan Now Festival line-up will showcase various Michigan entertainers, businesses, products, and educational opportunities. Main and Center streets in central Northville will be closed to allow for pedestrian traffic.

The FREE weekend celebration focuses attention on Michigan-based businesses and locally-produced merchandise to help stimulate the economy. More than 100 vendors and merchants are scheduled to participate. The family-friendly Buy Michigan Now Festival is once again made possible through the sponsorship support of Michigan businesses and other organizations. In addition to teaming up again with downtown Northville to host the upbeat celebration of Michigan, other major sponsors of this year’s festival include: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Hiller’s Markets and Tom Holzer Ford, OKE Financial and Internet Automotive.

Exciting new additions to this year’s festival include The Toast to Michigan Tent (on the library lawn on Wing Street, just south of Main Street) where guests can discover Michigan beers and wines. The tent will be open 5:30-10:30 p.m. Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4. Also new this year is the Video Gaming Unit (located on West Center Street), presented by Internet Automotive. Fans of Xbox 360 games will have FREE indoor & outdoor access to the unit, to challenge each other to a wide variety of games for all ages. Other highlights of the 4th Annual Buy Michigan Now Festival event schedule include:
