NEW BOSTON, MICHIGAN-- On Saturday, October 3, Pinnacle Race Course will be hosting the Michigan Sires Showcase. Along with the races, Pinnacle will be partnering with Buy Michigan Now to offer a Michigan Product Tasting for fans to enjoy and celebrate all the great products made in Michigan.
The Michigan Sires Showcase will feature Michigan's top prodigy of the stallions competing in the state’s richest racing day of the year. The Michigan Sires Showcase is a chance for the State's Thoroughbred breeders to run for top purses and "showcase" their best horses to racing fans live at Pinnacle Race Course and to tracks around the country through our simulcast network.
On October 3, Pinnacle will also be featuring a Michigan Product Tasting. Pinnacle is partnering with Buy Michigan Now in an effort to support and increase visibility of local products. In cooperation with Buy Michigan Now, local vendors will be on site with tasty samples and other Michigan made products along with the opportunity to sell their retail products to track patrons. Confirmed vendors include Freestone Pickle Company, Kelly’s Karamels, Perno Frozen Foods, Zensen Farms, Dearborn Sausage, Griller’s Select, Chartreuse Tea, Evelyn Bay Coffee, Bizzy Lizzy Bakery, and Topor’s Pickles. It is a fun, free day for families, friends and racing aficionados.
Pinnacle Race Course will open its doors at 11:30 a.m. and the Michigan Product Tasting will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Festival Tent. Races will begin with a First Post Time of 2:00 p.m. There will be eight races running throughout the day, every half hour.
