Monday, July 27th 2009 to Saturday, August 1st 2009
Downtown Northville and Buy Michigan Now are throwing a weeklong party to celebrate and promote Michigan businesses and revitalize the state’s economy. The celebration is in conjunction with a proclamation issued by the governor designating the week of July 27th as Buy Michigan Week. In the proclamation, governor Granholm states, “I encourage all residents of this state to take advantage of the many great products and services that the state of Michigan has to offer by buying Michigan first.”
There will be plenty of opportunity to do just that in Northville, as participating organizations within the festival will be Michigan-based. Vendors and exhibitors will be on hand throughout the week to describe services, offer tastings, demonstrate their products, and sell. Weekdays have been themed to draw special attention to specific emerging industries and opportunities. Several educational seminars are also scheduled and detailed descriptions of those events will be released soon.
