Michigan is home to cutting-edge medical facilities, innovative technology companies, as well as defense contractors that equip our military. Manufacturing remains the foundation of our economy. Travel + Leisure magazine has recognized Detroit’s Shinola Hotel on its 15th annual “It List”, which is a selection of the top new and renovated hotels in the entire world. The magazine’s March issue, on newsstands on Feb. 21, puts the Shinola Hotel on its list of North American properties alongside 23 other hotels.

The personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2020’s Best & Worst College Towns & Cities in America and Ann Arbor holds the top spot for small college towns. WalletHub compared more than 400 U.S. cities based on 31 key indicators of academic, social and economic growth potential.
