As a magician, Anthony has opened for some of the biggest names in the industry, like Jim Gaffigan, The Impractical Jokers, and the winner of America’s Got Talent! He’s performed magic all over the world and recently became the most viral pickpocket online today with over 200 million views. His show will entertain everyone in your crew.

1:30pm-2:30pm Improv from Detroit Creativity Project on Main Stage in Town Square

A selection of teaching artists and students from The Detroit Creativity Project (DCP) are thrilled to be performing as part of the Buy Michigan Now Fest and its celebration of educators. Their performance will consist of fun, fast-paced improv games that anyone can play! Come join the fun by simply watching the show, shouting out suggestions, or even join in on the improv fun! (only if you wish). DCP was started in 2011 to help bring a sense of wellness and positive mental health to the youth of Metro Detroit. Utilizing improvisational exercises, students explore techniques that encourage agreement and listening, as well as promote self-confidence and creative problem-solving abilities. Have some fun and see what they’re all about.

2:30pm-2:45pm Honoring Local Teachers

Stop by the Info Booth any time before noon on Sunday, Aug 4, to nominate a Metro Detroit teacher who is deserving of some accolades. We’ll celebrate your favorite teacher through our social media, and they might even win a weekend away to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, courtesy of the Munising Visitors Bureau. PLUS, you’ll be entered to win a $100 Meijer gift card, just for telling us about that teacher and what makes them teacher special. The winners will be announced at the Back to School Celebration in Town Square.

3:00pm-4:00pm Magician Anthony Grupido on Main Stage in Town Square

Anthony Grupido is back. Whether you missed the first show at 12:15, or just have to come back and try to figure out how he does what he does, time will fly by as you’re magically entertained by this Tik Tok sensation…but you still might want to keep an eye on your watch.
