FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY

Join us for a party in the streets on Friday evening. You never know where something fun might pop up. Plus, there’s live entertainment on the Main Stage in Town Square. Northville’s Social District allows for sipping as you stroll through most of the fest (except Wing Street), so you can take the party with you, dine al fresco, and enjoy scrumptious street eats.

SOULFUL SATURDAY

Shopping is the focus of this event, and we’ve got plenty of it. However, you can also kick back in Town Square with family and friends for live concerts all throughout the day. There’s also food for your family’s soul in the Kids Zone by Old Church Square on north Center Street. You’ll find a face-painter, balloon-twister, games, activities, and special surprises.

SUN BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

BMNFest is a magical summer staple, and since we’re enjoying the end of one season, we decided to get hyped up for the next season. Enjoy our Back To School Bash in Town Square. It features music, magic, improv comedy, giveaways, and more. You can even nominate a local teacher you love for a special honor, and maybe even win a prize yourself.

DINING

Food is a major highlight of BMNFest. Whether you’re looking to fill your pantry or just your stomach, tasty delights await at vendor booths and Northville eateries. For those seeking a meal or concessions, click below for available options.

MICHIGAN AUTHORS

Showcasing local authors has become an annual tradition at BMNFest with nearly 3 dozen authors, signing and selling books. Writers interested in participating in 2024 may click the button below for application instructions.

Vendors

When you put the word BUY in the title, most people instantly get the message that this fest is a place to spend some money. That makes it a wonderful place to turn a profit OR to shop. Vendors for this festival are selected based on the mission of creating jobs, supporting entrepreneurs, and helping Michigan businesses grow. Unlike many other street fairs and festivals, all of the businesses vending at the Buy Michigan Now Festival must meet one of the following criteria in order to participate:

  • Operates entirely in Michigan
  • Headquartered in Michigan with additional operations outside the state
  • Michigan-owned franchise or affiliate: some fees or revenue paid out of state
  • Artist, author, or musician that resides in Michigan

In addition to seeking only Michigan-based businesses, priority consideration is given to companies physically producing unique merchandise within the state, which is why it’s a great place to discover new tastes and products coming out of Michigan.

Become a Volunteer

We couldn’t pull off this vibrant community event without the support of dozens of volunteers. Be an ambassador for your state and join in on the fun. We need people to help vendors check-in and get set; greet guests and answer questions; play with children in the Kids Zone, sell tickets and serve thirst-quenchers in our Michigan Beverage Garden, and more. Small groups are welcome. Students 16 and over may gain community service credits as well as gaining valuable experience.

About Northville, MI

The City of Northville alone is worth a visit, retaining a small-town atmosphere with stately Victorian-era architecture, and a contemporary, yet historic downtown. Old-fashioned street lamps and benches line the streets, which boast plenty of specialty shops, galleries, theaters, and restaurants. Most of the businesses are locally-owned, making it an ideal backdrop for a fest of this nature.

Legend has it that arrivals of fairies from around the world have been noted in the downtown area of Northville. Evidence of their presence can be seen with tiny doorways hidden on the inside and outside of stores on Main, Center, and other mid-town streets. Fairy businesses have been established and as more appear, it is obvious the colony of little beings is growing. Children are encouraged to look closely at each store to see if they can discover its mysterious little fairy door.

Located on the western fringe of the Detroit Metro area, Northville is about 30 minutes from downtown Detroit and 25 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor. The major thoroughfares of I-275 and M-14 are nearby, making access easy.
