A lifelong educator, competitive runner, freelance writer, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, I was born with autism (Asperger syndrome) but was not diagnosed until the age of thirty-nine. Sharing my own struggles and discoveries, it is my intention with my first book, Six Word Lessons on Female Asperger Syndrome and my newest book, My Life on the Autism Spectrum: Misunderstandings, Insight & Growth, to empower others to learn, accept and find peace in our ever complicated neurotypical world.
In my second book, Six-Word Lessons on the Sport of Running: 100 Lessons to Enjoy Running for a Lifetime, I strive to empower every individual to discover the many benefits of running, even those hidden beneath the surface. With the proper mindset, training and equipment, you can develop strength and endurance, both physical and mental, and tackle challenging feats you never imagined, taking your running to new heights while building lasting friendships.
If even in very small ways, I truly strive to help and benefit as many individuals as possible and enable peace, acceptance and respect for all living and nonliving beings.
I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan with my treasured Labrador Retriever, Bailey Kennedy.
